Light summer salad

It was 36 degrees Celsius, or 96.8 degrees Fahrenheit, in most of Australia today.  Much too hot to eat.  We did manage to enjoy this salad for dinner with an ice cold ginger beer though.

This salad of lettuce, beetroot leaves, sprouts, apples, grapes and pineapples is delicious topped off with fresh orange squeezed  over the top.

About freerange friends

Whether it be as a family, friends, online, at work or in education, we all need a village, a tribe to belong to, to share our lives and families. As we move through life, our tribe changes, sometimes growing, sometimes getting smaller but the benefits we gain from being part of a tribe, a village are amazing. For many of us the introduction of the internet has bought many people into our lives we might never have met. The return to being part of extended families has often been fulfilled for many after busy lives in the workforce. The trend back toward sharing our recipes, tips on raising children, working on relationships, growing food, starting home based cottage industries and living within our means has bought a sense of real community back into our lives. I hope you will share this journey with me and my fellow villagers through life's challenges, changes and rewards.
